Search Engine Optimization, also known as SEO, is the exercise of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website. SEO means you get seen in more places by people searching for the content you create. These tools will help you optimize your content, get advice to make improvements, and monitor your site’s presence.

  • Yoast SEO — This WordPress plugin allows you to refine and modify your site SEO settings. This tool offers training courses to learn more about SEO. It helps you find and add high-performing keywords, and much more.
  • Google Search Console — Monitors & maintains your site’s presence in Google Search results. With Search Analytics you can see which queries are bringing people to your site. This tool can give you a better understanding on how Google Search sees your page and showcase issues with your site.
  • Google Keyword Planner — Find the right keywords to target display ads, search ads, video ads, and app ads. This tool can give you a keyword forecast, which shows the likelihood of your keywords getting conversions, clicks, and impressions. It also offers an edit tool for ads and location targeting.
  • SEO SiteCheckUp — Check the SEO score of any website. This SEO toolbox offers: an instant analysis of your SEO issues, a professional SEO monitoring tool, an understanding of your competitors’ SEO profile, and editable SEO reports that you can understand that include ‘how-to-fix’ tutorials.
  • Moz — SEO tools, training and analytics. This toolset offers: site audits to uncover SEO technical issues, rank tracking to track performance, backlink analysis to see metrics, and keyword research to discover countless keywords to target your audience and see what your competitors are using.
  • Moz Free Toolbar — SEO toolbar for keyword and website research. This search engine gives you access to see which search results are getting the most links, analyzes page overlay, and provides easy access to tools from SEOmoz and third parties. 
  • Bing Webmaster Tools — A free service to add websites to the Bing search engine. This service also offers insights for your site, allowing you to discover what is leading people to your site and what people are searching for, which provides an advantage to increase traffic to your site.
  • Yandex.Webmaster — Track statistics for queries that show your site in search results and see changes in impressions, clicks, CTR for snippets, and other statistics. This tool also checks how your site will work with mobile devices.
  • KWFinder — A keyword research and analysis tool. This tool can help you find keywords with low SEO difficulty and high search volume. Also if you are not sure where to start, or what keywords to use, this tool allows you to search what your competitors are using and displays the best keywords. 
  • Answer The Public — Get raw search results and insights for content ideas, marketing, and customer feedback. A tool to discover what people are searching and asking about. This tool listens to autocomplete search engines and then takes the useful phrase and questions many people are asking within your keyword. This can help you get a better understanding of what people are looking for, which can allow you to provide useful content.
  • Keywords Everywhere — Browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that shows the metrics of that keyword.   • Ahrefs —  Research your competitors and monitor your niche. This tool wants to be known as the “all-in-one SEO toolset.” This site includes: a site audit, a site explorer, a keyword explorer, a content tracker, and a rank tracker. These trackers, explorers, and audits can help you improve your website, discover more about what your customers are searching for, and evaluate your competitors.
